After watching last nights episode on Adult Swim (Dream of an Oasis) I was left a lot to chew on. One of which was that I didnt trust Myu one bit. Whenever Kiba saw her and asked her if that place was Paradise, the look she had in her eye when she said if thats what he thought it was then it must be....it was like she knew this wasn't Paradise and she knew she was tricking him. Especially when she asked him to stay with her forever. Not only that, but the fact that he had opened up to her about his past and all that, and that she had completely made him forget about Cheza and the pack made me dislike her quite a bit. Maybe I'm just being silly.
I also thought about how the tribe described the place where Kiba was at, and the more I thought about it the more I thought maybe its not actually a place. They said it was in the middle of a wasteland and there was no sand, how could all have that grown there? So I was thinking maybe its a mirage, and thats why no one ever comes back because in the end they die of lack of water and too much sun. Who knows. But it just seems like this is a trap, thats why Myu wants him to stay with her when she doesn't even hardly know him. Also I thought maybe thats why Kiba relayed his past to her, maybe as he was lying there he was thinking about it and said it out loud.
And to top it all off I was torn when Hige hit Toboe and Toboe decided to stay with the tribe. That was quite the impacting episode, and I thought the part where Toboe was with Quent was quite touching. All in all I thought it was a very good episode, and I can't wait for next weeks.
Well there's my ramblings, anyone else have any opinion? Only no spoilers please.

If it were a mirage wouldn't Myu be a wolf though?
Anyway, I think it was real, the reason Myu probably wanted to stay with him forever is because.....well anyone who has been out in the middle of nowhere for a while is bound to er *cough*long*cough* for another person.

Ha, yeah that is true. There was quite a bit of longing there That was kind of weird, how Myu wasn't a wolf. More like a bobcat....that was really odd...I didnt know the same thing applied to animals other then wolves.

I think I read somewhere that she was a Caracal or something like that, yeah I think that applies to some animals but not all animals.
P.S. You know what I mean by longing right?

I thought she was a gazelle but that didn't look like one.

Yes, she was a caracal. *recalls pictures* They're an African desert cat that were used in ancient times to hunt birds. They've got l337 skillz with catching the birdies. Awesome cats, but very rare.

Yeah. Myu's a caracal. I thought more people would know that.. Tsk, tsk.
(Possible Spoiler.)
I believe Myu is a figment of Kiba's imagination. You know that plant he walked out of? It's a carnivorous plant, and it intoxicates the unconcious victim and eats away at it while it's paralyzed. Myu may have been real at one point, as I think she mentions in the next episode, but she's either dead or dying, now. The owl from the forest of death also pops up in episode 20, so then you know he's dreaming.

A bobcat or a caracal pretty much describes the same thing. It just matters what region you live in.
I too felt a liltte uneasy about Myu, especially in the closing moments of the show. I had the same feeling about her as the owl from the Forest of Death. That sort of awkward and amiss feeling.

Thank you for saying that, or else I might have gone crazy until next Saturday's episode thinking about it.

Am I the only one here who liked Myuu? And was it just me, or did Kiba and Myuu seem to have some kind of relationship of sorts during those two episodes? They acted pretty friendly with each other. >.>

Actuaally I thought Myu was pretty cool. And she seemed not to know what paradise was. Those pink eyes were awesome, and just the fact that she had a human form. The owl in the Dead Forest didn't have one.
