I don't know it we still need to mark spoilers since the entire series is out on DVD, so I erred on the side of caution.
In the final episodes with Quent, it really seemed he wanted to die and that first Blue, then Hubb, then Toboe didn't want to let him go. His comment to Hubb about finding a place to die and that was man's oldest instinct indicated to me that was what he was doing. Also, it seemed in the anime it was his time to die and others just couldn't accept this. Did others get this impression?

I think that his revenge on the wolves was the last thing keeping him going, keeping him alive. That was all he had to live for. When he found out that his whole life was a lie, and that the wolves were innocent, and it was Jagara's troops, he refused to believe it because he would have to admit he was wrong his whole life. So the last thing keeping him alive broke and he saw no more reason to kill. Sadly, the one time he killed a wolf he didn't want to. Hmm... i need to watch the ova's again, ive only seen them 2 times because they were too sad.  |

Well, he didn't kill Toboe. He shot him yes, but did not kill him. That isn't what killed him ;\
And he didn't hate wolves his whole life. I mean he looked to be in what? Early 40's when his family died.

Dude, the guy shot him, Toboe died from the gun shot. He did not die immediately but it was ultimately the gun shot wound that killed him.

Early 40's when his family died. you don't kno that he didn't before either b/cin one of the eps....12 maybe? hes at a bar talkin to hubb when he says that he suspected blue of being a wolf and said that he shouldn't of let his kid keep it b/c of that...so if he was tellin the truth about blue then he must of had so forethought on wolves whether it was good or bad no one knows |

What hell dude, Darcia did not shoot him, where did you get that from? He just tossed him aside. Don't tell me that killed Toboe.

I just got the 7th dvd today (w00t) and I'm siding with BlueChan. Toboe jumped up and bit Darcia's arm, messing up his aim and then Darcia flung Toboe off and then shot Quent. He never shot Toboe.

did he accidentily? i thought (its been awhile maybe i should og watch it again) that quent shot toboe on purpose b/c darcia was feeding him memories of his past then when he finally did shoot toboe he realized what he had done and then darcia shot him before he could do anything....like i said its what i remeber i'll watch it tonight

All right, there is a showdown between Darcia and Quent. They both pull out guns and aim at each other. Quent shoots first, and out of nowhere, Toboe jumps in the middle and gets shot. Quent realizes that he has mortally wounded Toboe and crawls to him. Darcia aims once again at Quent and shoots. But, Toboe once again jumps out of nowhere and manages to take hold of Darcia's arm. However, the SOB doesn't feel anything and tosses Toboe aside. Quent takes out his hand gun and starts shooting. But, at this point, Darcia is practically immortal. So, for the third time, Darcia aims at Quent and shoots him.
So, Quent did not intentionally kill Toboe. But, when everything is said and done, it was Quent who ended Toboe's life.

Okay so Sean was proven wrong... I thought the shot that went off from Darcia hit Toboe
And yeah he couldn't feel anything because of Jagara's poison.
