As I said in a reply, the mixed parents stirred an interest to write a fanfic about it, probably end up as smut but who the hell cares.
Anyway, I wanted to know if I missed anything, I don't think it mentioned in any episodes or manga about Blue's parents or what her bloodline was (husky, mutt, akita, malmute?) so I was hoping for this:
Any ideas as to who her parents could be or were, and help deciding on a convincing parentage if you dont know? (as in make up names and species.)

Unfortunately, i dont think anyone other than a wolf expert or something like that could identify the species accurately.... but the most we know is that one of her parents was wolf, the other dog.

I was watching a dog show the other day(i was bored) and I really wish I could remmeber the name of the dog, some breed I've never heard of. It looked just like blue. I squeed and went "omg I want one it looks like blue". Except this dog didn't have blue eyes but the coat, body type, ears everything else was right on the money.
I'll try looking for the breeds name. Until then i'd go with husky because huskys tend to have the light blue eyes.
For some reason i have to think the mom was the dog because Blue was not living with wolves and did not know she was one.

Makes sense, like a breeder or something, they sold off the pups from the mother, leaving her with 'pops'

Based on looks-alone, Blue, to me, most resembles a wolf crossed with a Dutch Shepherd. They come in 'blue', which is not a true dog merle-blue, but rather a black that is closer to blue with perk ears, medium coat and a smaller size. Otherwise, I'd say Groendael (Belgian Sheepdog) or plain old German Shepherd, maybe)

Yeah, Quent’s son, Rese (Sp?), found Blue outside of the city when she was just a pup; this is revealed in one of the early episodes when Quent reminisces about how stubborn Rese could be, so much so that he eventually agreed that Rese could keep Blue as a pet - even though he didn't want to keep her at first.

Rese, Ruse, Ruus…they all start with R’s, so they’re close enough.

As I said in a reply, the mixed parents stirred an interest to write a fanfic about it, When I wrote my book I decided, because of all the prowling in Quent's territory by Jagara's troops, that Blue was in fact descended from Hige's unfortunate pack whom Jagara hunted down until she managed to capture all of. So in my book, Hige and Blue may or may not have the same aunt, mother, or father. Sure it miffs Hige off to no end, but he still tries. ((^_^)) ;)That's the great thing about writing fan fiction, do what feels right and let the canon wanks be miserable. -G

that site is TERRIBLE... it makes it out that wolves/wolf hybrids make GREAT pets and the photo of the one with the kid makes it look like they're good with kids. it idealizes the wild/domestic hybrid to the point of fallacy!

Actually, wolf hybrids do make as good a pets as any mutt does - just as long as you have the facilities to let them run (no city environments), and plenty of love.
One of my better friends has a wolf hybrid, high percentage, I think. That animal is just the friendliest you'd ever come across. This is in Kansas, wide open spaces, y'know.
