So you've met him personally? Oh yeah....I forgot you usually go to cons....
He is pretty good....but I found his tone of voice of Renton to be somewhat annoying....
ellipses are cool.....besides.....I have to use them......since most of what I type are fragments and not complete sentences.... ;D

yeah, the thing i love most about bosch is that he sounds a lot like a calmed down vash in person. not quite kiba, i'm not sure what it is, but i could listen to him talk for hours. that and he's very cute. XD and you don't have to use ellipses, that's what commas are for. either that or semicolons. but anyways, back on topic: i haven't watched [AS] in quite a while, is it still as good as i remember? what's the lineup like nowadays?

The black power ranger!
Pffft....I have a thing against grammar....and besides....it's hard to break out of old habits....
Futurama Korgoth(I have no idea what the hell that is....) Trinity Blood Bleach Eureka Seven FLCL
Not the best ever....I hardly watch AS anymore....but Trinity Blood grabbed my attention....

wow, i'm surprised they brought in so much new anime. that and the fact that inuyasha isn't somewhere on there. i wonder what the hell "korgoth" is, i haven't even heard the hardcore fansub nerds talking about it... how are the weekends?

Inuyasha will come back in October or something....but not on Saturdays.....weekdays I think.
There are very few episodes left....so I think they just want to end it as soon as possible and move on....
Korgoth is a comedy show....one of the new ones....never seen it.
Before Korgoth, Shin-Chan was on that slot....it was anime technically, but it was more like a comedy show. Another Milk Chan....but funnier.
I've already watched Bleach....fansubs anyway....so I don't really care about it being on AS. Trinity Blood....haven't seen it....but my friend has it....so I don't really need to catch it on AS. I've already watched all of Eureka Seven.....didn't like it that much.
The weekends....well, the usual, drink one day....and deal with the hangover the next....

Yeah, that type of anime isn't my thing really either. Oh well, another episode on tonight. What I'm hearing a lot of good stuff about is Elfen lied.. I think I'll check that out. and SHIN-CHAN SUCKS ASS. >

if shin-chan is in any way like milk chan, i would expect it to suck miles of ass. XP
but yeah, i've also heard a lot of good things about EL. my friends have gotten a lot of promotional posters and stuff from past conventions, and from those the animation at least looks pretty good... though semi-pornographic.

Elfen Lied is pretty damn good....the ending is somewhat disappointing....but overall it is good. The first five minutes of it will get you hooked....blood....gore....and nudity.
Semi-pornographic....well....yeah, there are a lot of nude scenes that really don't add much to the story....they are just there....
Shin-Chan....well, I haven't actually watched it....and it looks like some 4th grader drew it....but rumor has it that it contains lesbians.....I really don't care either way.
Well, if you guys want to watch something good, watch Monster or Gankutsuou. I recommend them.

if not, i'm not sure if ill be able to watch them. i'm not into downloading anime, or downloading anything for that matter, it slows down my computer.

A smart woman....
There are currently 5 DVDs out regarding Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo(only 26 episodes) I've got four of them.
For Monster....you'll have to wait....I don't believe it has even been licensed in the US. 74 episodes total.
And no....these show won't air on AS. They turned down Gankutsuou for some unknown reason.... Monster....no way....it is perhaps too mature for Adult Swim.
However, AS tried to get Samurai 7....but IFC beat them to it.... They also wanted to get Elfen Lied....but they felt that it would simply require too many edits.....

bah, i need a job. all of this anime collecting is so expensive... >_> and too many edits? is EL really that bad (as in dirty)? besides, i though [AS] was all about no censorship unless it comes to certain curse words. if anyone does that much editing to a series, they're bound to ruin it. just look at naruto.

Agreed....so many anime....so little cash.
Well, there's a lot of decapitations, nude scenes, etc. It is far too much for AS to handle.
AS has come a long way since it started....they edited Blue Gender quite a bit....and they didn't even air one episode of Outlaw Star because of a nude scene.
Nowadays, the edits aren't so bad.....but ask Scarred....he should know pretty well how much AS edited GITS: SAC.
Heck, they don't even have the balls to air the End of Evangelion....much less Elfen Lied.....
I don't feel the edits have that much of an effect on Naruto....it is pretty much the same....the dub is perhaps a bit annoying....but Naruto still sucks with or without edits....
One Piece....now that is one anime that was hacked, butchered, and sent to dub hell.

well i never really watched blue gender, but i thought toonami aired outlaw star? this was a long time ago though, before [AS]...
i didn't think GITS: SAC was that bad on [AS], although i don't have the dvds or anything to compare it to.
and actually i thought the naruto subs were a lot better than the dubs, and this is coming from someone who normally has no problem with dubs. the thing that made naruto so ridiculous though (aside from the terrible voice acting) is that for example there was one scene where some guy gets stabbed in the back, and there was absolutely no blood. i mean i guess i understand that children shouldn't see that kind of gore or whatever bull$hit policy there is here in the states, but come on, tha't just a little far-fetched.

Yes. Outlaw Star first aired on Toonami....but it was later given to AS. . And Yu Yu Hakusho first aired on AS...I think...but was then given to Toonami.....I have no idea what was going on during that era.
And you really ought to watch Blue Gender....the first half is awesome....and besides....the box set is less than $40.
I only own one DVD of GITS: SAC....so I don't know much about all of the edits....but it seems Scarred watched all of the DVDs....so he should know to what level it was edited.
Well...the edits really don't affect the plot very much....and all they do edit out is scenes where there is blood....I'm sure that most of the viewers aren't even aware of the edits.
Of course....there are some people who despise any edits...now matter how minor they are...I understand what they are thinking....yet in the conservative society we live.....I guess it can't be helped.

yu yu hakusho was on adult swim? i thought it was just on toonami back when [AS] didn't have saturdays.
and yeah, they only edit the parts with blood, but sometimes it gets ridiculous. besides, look at all the blood in dbz! just because it's purple or green doesn't mean it isn't still blood.
