i hope so too. i think WR didn't get very high ratings because it sent an overall "humans are evil" message. the protagonists are wolves and all antagonists are human (or close enough to it).
also, i think because of the way it aired on adult swim people could easily get lost and find themselves wondering what the hell is going on. the plot could change a lot in the span of one episode, so if you missed one, you missed a lot. the reason Cowboy Bebop was more popular: it had less continuity.
finally, i think parts of the story were a little complicated to grasp at first. most people today want things spelled out completely for them so that they won't have to think too much into something to understand it. however, WR, being a complex and intriguing series, probably turned some of its viewers away due to the fact that they "don't get it."

(for once ) but yeah, ppl want super obvious things explained right there, not thot provoking things that are wise. also you are very right about the whole show changing with an episode: like episodes 3, 7, and 11 for instance, and many other things where u could simply get confused on.

soooo well said. (for once ) don't be hatin' on my skills, you illiterate hobo. ;D anyways, i know a few people that told me they didn't like WR because it was too confusing and weird. i think it was the whole wolves-appear-as-humans aspect that weirded them out.

;D
who is the one in the honors classes and who is the one in the regular "im a dumb piece of cow sh*t" classes, hmm?!
anyway yeah WR is one of the more complex anime ive seen out there, making it less liked. (how sad)
as we saw in the zatch bell thread, most ppl are IDIOTS. they prefer that mind numbing shit to awesome shows like GITS and WR, and GITS is especially complicated, so it appeals to a certain wise crowd.

who is the one in the honors classes although you wouldn't be able to tell from looking. ;D for some reason americans prefer their anime to be more in the comical genre than in the deep, complex genre. that or it must involve a lot of sex and explosions.

it takes a bit of looking to read how you speak, Scarred, in case some certain honor students couldn't tell. but anyways, this is really off topic. i suppose no one has seen any potential unofficial Tsume plushies, then?

The whole reason I liked Wolf’s Rain so much was because it is a thought provoking anime, but like most of you said, people don’t want that kind of stuff. They want the series’ message handed to them on a silver platter, so they don’t have to use their brain whatsoever to get the message themselves. It really is a sad situation, but it explains as to why so many people are mentally lazy. As for the cops, Anaheim and Buena Park always keeps them busy with people breaking the law, but Fullerton Cops are willing to give out a ticket for just about anything!
