>>They say "Rah Xephon was everything Evangelion wasnt"
D'you suppose they meant that RahXephon had an ending you could understand after watching only twice? ;D

I don't know... I barely know Evangelion, but enough to know that reading the manga is enough. That's somekind of mysterious riddle, isn't it? Only serious anime fans will know. Something I'm not is a serious anime fan.

Evangelion was all metaphor. The Angels were the boy's fears about adolescent insecurity landing to destroy his world. The Characters were all scenarios in the boy's mind playing on his fears and maturity. There's a lot of religion and Plato in the cave involved. (Brain-candy?--WR was better.) The world was not really real in that Anime. The ending left me---blinded and deaf ...no it did not...but it killed a lot of good work in the series for me. I haven't watched Rah Xephon yet so I can't say the same for Rah Xephon.

Bones. I've seen Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain and now I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist. I love them all. I've watched some Scrapped Princess episodes, it's interesting. Especially since it reminds me of some RPGs *cough*BreathofFire*cough*.

Hi!! ^^ Well i have seen some episodes of Cowboy, but I have collected a lot of its music, and I just love Yoko Kanno´s work.. I have also seen RahXephon (complete) and let me tell u its SO wonderful, i mean in general, the story, the caracters, the animation and of course THE MUSIC. I just love Hemisphere, Tune the Rainbow and Yume no tamago. I´d like to know a little more about Bones, i just know a few things.. actually I´m confused, in a page I saw that Angelic Layer was also a work of Bones o_Ó!! Is that true (i´m talkin about the animation, coz i know the manga is from CLAMP) ? or I have been tricked ¬¬! Ja Ne!

Of all the Bones anime, I've seen Escaflowne, WR, CB, and RX. Of the three, it's hard to say which one is my favorite. I have yet to see any Scrapped Princess or Full Metal Alchemist yet. I'd have to say that Escaflowne is my favorite fantasy anime, Cowboy Bebop is my favorite action anime, Wolf's Rain is my favorite serious thoughtful anime, and RahXephon is my favorite love story anime. And my favorite anime characters ever come from those series as well!
RahXephon is basically a more "finished" Evangelion. And it ends a lot happier, too, and you actually get something out of it that you can take with you into your daily life. I love how both RahXephon and Wolf's Rain end with new hope and joy for us, the watchers, in real life. It also helps that the story writers weren't on antidepressants or anything like that. RahXephon is like... what would happen if Evangelion finally got over its own issues.
What are Scrapped Princess and Full Metal Alchemist like? Are they anywhere near as "heavy" as the other Bones works?

RahXephon is BONES's "hidden gem", if you will. The animation is so beautifully done, same goes for the music. The storyline is a bit confusing but you get it after awhile. -Note to whoever hasn't seen Rah yet: Do NOT listen to the dub! >< Save your fragile ears the torment and suffering of just about the worst dub in history.
Cowboy Bebop is the best production that came from BONES in my opinion. I wish to accomplish a rule for our highschool's anime club that states: If you have never seen or heard of Cowboy Bebop, get the hell out right now, you poor fool.
