Whiskers you messed up on your quoting of Voltaire just a bit. But I came close enough for you to notice who I quoted, so my work is done.

I really enjoyed The Crow by J. O'Barr. It's about a revenant who comes back to avenge his death and the death of his fiance. The overall theme of the story is the overwhelming nature of grief, especially in regards to a violent. sudden death.
I also enjoyed Sandman by Neil Gaiman. It's about the dream king, Morpheus, the world he rules, and his interaction with our world. It has an ethereal, otherworldly quality to it that at times can be downright horrific.

After completing the American Lit. course in 11th grade I made the general rule that Americans CAN"T write..but there are exceptions... MegaTokyo, for instance is an American made manga that is just awesome...though I don't read just plain old comics..

I like ElfQuest, personally... but it's been a while since I've been able to find it at the library and re-read it. I like what I read of Preacher and Lenore (I read the copies of those my friend had before she moved out of town).

I like ElfQuest, personally... I used to follow ElfQuest really closely. I read the first quest, Prisoners of Blue Mountain, and Kings of the Broken Wheel. I fell out of it for a while and when I went back, there were dozens of titles. It became too confusing to pick back up.
