I just hated when they turned Gohan into a geek. After that, i couldn't watch it anymore.

GT was pretty much dragonball without the humor or good characters except goku's annoying little voice and all the z characters gone.

He had alot of potential and they just practically erased him from the plot.

He had alot of potential and they just practically erased him from the plot. i know! and they left like 3 characters- all of which kinda annoyed me to some extent and what was cool about z was just how large the "z-team" was. it included nameks, kids, adults, everything.

Meh. I never liked any of the Dragonball series. Although the original series was bearable, I found the fight scenes in Z, GT, and whatever else there is to be a real bore. Something about using the same three seconds of fighting animation for an entire episode kinda turned me off.

It all really began near the end of Z when characters like Gokue and Vegeta where getting power levels like 555,555,555,555,555. I kinda realized that alot of characters began to be nothing more than side chow (yamcha, tien, piccolo). And then GT reduces the cast of fighters to just Goku, geek trunks and annoying Pan. We hardly even see some of the more better characters such as Vegeta, Goten, Gohan and Piccolo until Baby comes around.

Hey, I like DBGT, it's my least favorite out of DB and DBZ but I still like it, it's all right. You know, the creator of DB and DBZ wanted to end it after the Frieza Saga, but then he went all the way up to the Buu Saga and called it quits. Then after a year the pressure was so intense from all the Japan companies and fans to get something DBZ like going, they made DBGT, and no, the creator really didn't have much say in DBGT at all, and he never created SSJ4, thats something someone else came up with and they used in DBGT. SSJ3 was suppost to be the highest.
Akira Tom-something or other was the creators name right? DYK, they even had eye drop DBZ commercials, thats how popular it was, and still is.

I think the ending DBZ at the frieza saga may have been ok and would have tied things up nice a clean since Frieza was the almighty villain of the unverse and there was only supposed to be one super saiyan but Im glad it didn't end. There where a ton of great episodes after that, such as the battles with Cell or Buu.

I know, nothin beats Goku VS. Kid Buu IMO, it was just... a culmination of everything

Vegeta was awesome during that fight too. He really didn't stand a fly's chance against Buu but he still kept it up.

And hey, lets not forget about Hercule, he's the one who convinced the majority of the people of Earth to raise their arms and give Goku their energy. We wouldn't be here talking right now if it wasn't for him

I heard Akira Toriyama only wanted to create the original Dragonball series and a few movies, but they badgered him into creating more for money. Once again, this is what I heard from a proud, yet critical DBZ fan.
