i swear, tonights episode made my heart beat too fast for a show, i was near the point of turning the tv off. the whole part with batou against the suits, then the poor tachikomas killing themselves for Batou was actually really sad. hey did u guys noticedhow it shows all of the major's skimpy lingerie and thongs?! i thot that was kickass. also, at the end, her pants were practically off. what a slut. ;D anyway, i really was pissed when the major showed up with that odd body and voice, but then, like batou dying, we found out it was just a shocker/teaser thing. but the ending.... >_<

yeah her new body was totaly unfitting. anyway, are you guys sure that the major's a lesbian anymore? i mean, Batou and her got pretty close and when they walked off he put his arm around her waist.

Okay, there is no way Motoko has died. She's up to something else, either she left her true cyber brain in that other body, or something, she's not gone. Anyway, I was about to pee my pants during Batou's battle with those armored suits, but the Tachikomue (sp!?) was pretty cool, however when it let a a tear of oil, that was corny, but cool. The next episode will be a true thriller. At first I was scared, and I said aloud, "Oh my f**king God!" when Motoko was sniped. It was a certainly graphic scene. The scene with the Tachikomas was a little hard to watch too. In the DVDs after each episode, there's a little segment with the Tachikomas doing some little skit. After a while, you'd think of them as cute little pets. So, I think the reason why they added the fakey little teardrop at that scene because it was a cutesy ( yet saddening ) way to say goodbye to them.

Yeah, that scene made me really sad as well. and with their voices, they seem like little baby pets. I have grown attached to them, as well as the rest of Section 9. Stupid metal suits.

I believe one of the Tachikomas shares the same voice actress as Cheza, Sherry Lynn. But yes, in the short blurbs called "Tachikomatic Days/Daze(?)" they are completely and utterly adorable.

what i really want to know is what in the world did the major say to batou before she was sniped? i should have taped this episode, so i could have tried to make it out, but it looked like she said run or something.

I tried to tape the episode on my VCR, but I didn't program it right. I'll have to catch it on Thursday. But, I have a feeling we'll definetly find out on Saturday. The final epsiode: STAND ALONE COMPLEX. Now that I think about it, the more I think that Motoko isn't dead. Perhaps she was remotely controling that body, and she's in the other body instead. Who knows.

Well since this thread already has a spoiler tag I might as well spoil it for you! At MegaCon 2005 I sat in on the showing of anime and they have a whole new GITS series/season, it was the first episode or something and she WAS dead, but she uploaded herself into the worlds net or something so shes 'spiritually' alive just not physically. Batou and the other fully human cop are the only two I seen show up in that episode (I'm not too big of a fan to remember their names but I do like the show too bad I'm only catching the last 30 episodes or so) They were in a battle and she took over a empty wooden looking bot to help Batou on a ship, so she has now 'evolved' so to speak since she can control lots more than just what she used to, she was affecting everything the whole time in that episode making it look like she was playing a reserved god not using her full powers. Surely this new set will get to be interesting also! (edit) AHH it was called "Ghost in the Shell: 2nd gig 1 & 2" I guess it was a movie or something but its probably like other anime movies, the whole season will be based off it...

I'm not sure that she's dead myself. for one thing, Batou brought her back her watch... after she got sniped they zoomed in on her wrist... no watch.
