Well, i usually bring news that interest me, but this time, i guess i'll please some other forum members. Yes people, the sequel to Yu-Gi-Oh is coming to Cartoon Network in October. Yu-Gi-Oh GX is supposed to appeal to younger viewers(don't know how that's possible). It takes place 100 years after Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. Here is a short summary on Yu... GX:
Ten years after the Ceremonial Battle, a teenage boy named Yuuki Judai heads off in order to join the Duelist Yousei School located on a remote island off the coast of Japan. There he meets his fellow students and gains a few friends, along with a few enemies. Judai is put into the lowest rank of Osiris Red, but he continues to test his skills against the students and faculty to prove his worth as a Yousei Duelist and earn the respect of everyone around him.

Is it safe to assume that Yugi isn't the main character of Yugi-Oh GX?....WTF?
P.S. how can Yugi appeal to an audiance any younger than it already does? add a sequence where the main character tries to teach the little ones the alphabet ?

P.S. how can Yugi appeal to an audiance any younger than it already does? add a sequence where the main character tries to teach the little ones the alphabet ? All right, i actually had to research this stuff, i hate myself more everyday. Yugi is the main character in the anime called Yu-Gi-Oh, not to be confused with Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. The reason american viewers haven't seen this is because "Yami Yugi used brutal acts of terror and violence to take out the bad guys, through the punishing images of the Shadow Realm". There aren't very many duels in Yu-Gi-Oh and that is why it only lasted one year, 1998. Two years later, Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters(the one that our friend Sean watches every Saturday morning on Kids WB) came along, it was mostly based on the TCG. This one ended in Japan in September 29, 2004(this answers Sean's question). So you see, the main character changed after the original anime, Yu-Gi-Oh.
