Yeah, it seems the folks at AS will dare to do the unthinkable. Airing a new subtitled anime. They still haven't specified which anime it would be. Perhaps it is going to be Eva, but there is also some speculation that Beck would be the one. Also, Inuyasha will stop at episode 126, new episodes until 2006.(in case any of you care) Source: forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=149240

Maybe this will get more anime viewers. Then they can take the comedy off Saturday nights. *crosses fingers*

AS is committing suicide by doing this. Ratings are horrible and I'm sure many people will be pissed off that Inuyasha will take a break. And we cannot forget that most people hate subtitles. I surely hope AS still has some sanity left or we can kiss anime Saturday nights good bye.

I may be late on this, but what happened with Samurai Champloo? Is there no intention whatsoever to air the other half of the series? Adult Swim is going down the tubes. Nowadays, I only tune in for Family Guy, Futurama, and Fullmetal Alchemist and The Oblongs. Inuyasha is dragging on and on to me, I've seen just about every episode of ATHF and Cowboy Bebop has been run into the ground. And I don't even like a lot of the new crap that's been showing up lately, though I do like the movies they've been airing on the weekends now to fill in the dead space they've created for themselves. I hope they can remedy this problem soon. There are too many animes out there for them not to start running something. Come on...Dragon Drive, .Hack//Sign, Gungrave, even f**king Chobits. Just show SOMETHING I haven't seen ump-million times and something that isn't crappy.

Geneon does not want AS to air episodes that still have not been released on DVD. New episodes will start on November 19. Gundam Seed use to carry it Haha... man, when are they gonna get Gundam Seed Destiny? It better be soon... AS started going down when the last of DBZ was aired... DBGT did okay but still... after that it was like.... meh.. Samurai Champloo's rest of the episodes will be aired in either October or November.. I forgot Once again sean, Gundam Seed was never on Adult Swim. Gundam Seed Destiny 1st volume is going to be available either late 2005 or early 2006. And once again Sean, how the hell did AS started going down after DBZ if it never aired it?

*shakes head*
I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to think Sean would be perfect for the AS business. He would be the model worker.

No, you would be helping to write the bumps.
Somehow, I see you working with the comedy part more than the anime part.

What is the point in airing a subtitled anime? The dub industry is better than ever IMO.

Most people are like you, they don't like subtitled anime. I'm still trying to figure out what they would do this. Perhaps they are trying to bring new viewers but that won't work, it will only cause AS to lose viewers(the few it has). Or maybe they have a very good anime but the dub is horrible(Ex: One Piece) and they have no choice but air it subtitled. Who knows, maybe they are just retarded.
