yeah, maybe some of the hair colors are a little off... i mean, i've seen all shades of blonde but never a NATURAL greenish-blonde like Jagara's. if you think about it, you ever had a blonde friend that went swimming and came out of the pool looking a little, well, green? XD
conventions are all about clothes that are too skimpy. XP usually it's part of the con rules to be 'decent', but i'm guessing most don't read the rules.
not to say that there aren't some pretty awesome cosplayers out there with revealing outfits. i've actually seen a pretty good Faye before, and not Man Faye. ;D

You know, from what I've noticed....the nobles are they only ones who have an odd hair color(.the wolves too but they don't count)......Darcia-blue.....Jagara-Greenish blonde......Orkhum-no hair probably.....just another hint that they aren't human.
Damn, so many cons in California and I fail to attend even one of them....but really....it sucks going all alone....everyone hates anime for some reason.

i never really thought of that, but that's actually a good point. the only "people" that have strange hair colors are either nobles or wolves (or Cheza ), unless i'm missing someone. you should go to cons! they're crazy fun, and you meet all kinds of new people. the majority of my friends don't like anime either, but luckily i have 2 friends from middle school that are just as nerdy as i am, and they take me with them whenever they go (since my parents would never take me, are you kidding). the one con i didn't go to with them was this year's animeEXPO, and i'm so sad that i had to miss it. they met Crispin Freeman and everything... but hey, at least they gave him the phone and let my say hi.

What the hell was Cheza anyways?
I was actually planning to go to the AnimeExpo this year....but I moved into my apartment in that same weeked....crappy organization on my part.....
I only have one acquaintance that likes anime.....but even he freaks me out sometimes....I need to become nerdy or something.

well, you don't necessarily have to be as crazy nerdy as some people. i mean, outside of cons i'm relatively normal, but once i'm there i bask in the fellowship of other nerds. i guess that's the good thing about cons in that no one really discriminates there.
and i thought of Cheza the whole time as being some sort of human clone with flower genes or something in her, because really, how do you create a bipedal vertebrate from just flower DNA?

I'll have to go to one....otherwise I might later regret it. I might blackmail some people into going with me.....
She was supposed to be perfect hannabito right? A flower in the shape of a human girl....but her true form was just seeds and one lunar flower? What the hell was guiding the wolves.....

oh the irony of WR, how no scientific facts come together... XD
Cheza was the only hanabito that could sustain her life for a long enough period of time (now that i think of that that doesn't really make sense either, since she started to wither near the end), and maybe the only one that became a bunch of seeds once her physical being was gone. the other hanabito just stayed as they were, like dead trees...
but on the hair topic, i remember seeing this AWESOME Cheza at A-kon in 2005. what made her so awesome was her wig... it was actually the right shade of lavender! do you know how hard it is to find wigs that shade (the same goes for light orange and light pink), since most "exotic" colors are neon shades?
her leotard/whatever outfit was pretty well-made too, and she also had the little red riding hood cape. <3

I thought Cheza was only able to sustain the life of other hanabito....I was never aware she was able to sustain her own life.....I'm confused now.....
So in the end did Cheza just bloom and the end result was just the seeds and that lunar flower?
Here is a very important question regarding cosplaying. Have you ever seen anyone cosplay Jagara?

no, sadly, i've never seen a Jagara. i guess it's all the spikes that make her costume pretty intimidating to make. and the crazy long wig you would have to wear... i'm not a fan of extremely long wigs, or even medium long wigs, since wigs are very easy to tangle.
though i have seen some VERY good Darcias (mask, feathers and cape anyways). i think the only picture i have of Darcia is an actually developed one from last year, since i didn't have a digital camera then... XP

XP That's a shame....I know there are characters out there much more tougher to cosplay....but no one wants to cosplay Jagara. I've seen pictures of Darcia cosplayers.....they do a pretty good job....something Darcia does not deserve.

Blah, I'm too bored to read through this topic such a thought provoking response, sean. i would have expected nothing less. That's a shame....I know there are characters out there much more tougher to cosplay....but no one wants to cosplay Jagara. I've seen pictures of Darcia cosplayers.....they do a pretty good job....something Darcia does not deserve. well i guess it's not only the difficulty level of the costume, it's just Jagara's (or even WR's for that matter) overall popularity. WR cosplayers have a rough time getting recognized as they are, since it's usually only WR super nerds like me that even recognize them at all at cons. XP if subtle is your cosplaying style, then by all means go as someone from WR.

I still don't understand why WR isn't popular.....a question: How many characters of WR have you seen in cons? And which ones?
Kiba is pretty easy to cosplay.....yet the hair would be a problem for me.....I dislike having hair as long as his....

well, as we've discussed in past threads, WR didn't take off because it was just not a very funny show. especially in america, most people like things to be entertaining and easy to understand. WR, however, had a more intricate plot and characters that were not even human, so maybe they were harder to identify with. think of it as a compliment: maybe not everyone loves WR, but the fact that we do proves that we actually possess some form of mental capacity and were able to appreciate the meaning of the show that the creators had intended for it. as for the cosplayers, i mostly see Kibas and Higes, as well as a few Darcias. one Toboe (the one you all know and love) and one Tsume, who happened to be with said Toboe. the one Blue i saw a couple years back wasn't really good, but i guess worth mentioning.

I can understand why WR didn't do good here in America but not Japan..... Have you ever seen a Cher or a Hubb? I've seen people cosplay them....only in pictures though...
