According to Anime News Network and various other sites, you'll be able to get a Limited Edition box set of Wolf's Rain on November 22, 2005 for one-hundred and fifty smackers. From what we can tell right now, there won't be anything special packed in with it, just new box art with the DVD's inside. Click here for more.

Well, i had heard about this and the price of it seemed to be too high. I already bought all 7 DVDs at $20 each so i have no need for the box set. And since there are no extra stuff that might be interesting, than the incentive to buy it is quite low.

Amazon is selling the complete set for just a little over $100. That's a decent enough deal for anyone who doesn't have all of them. In my opinion, the raping of Wolf's Rain fans started someplace around DVD 4, when they were charging the same amount and shorting us an episode, along with the ceasing of anything resembling special features around the time of DVD 2. To me, $20 is a screwjob for what I get. I love the series, but I haven't paid $20 for any other DVD. I got #2, #5, and #6 for $15 at Best Buy on their release week (because there is no Best Buy in the city I live in and I was lucky to be home at the time of the other releases, otherwise I'd have been even more mad) and that suited me just fine.
Personally, I think they should have rounded out this box set with the second soundtrack, if we really want to stretch, perhaps another plushie or a bandana. That would have been perfect. I bought the first LE box and even that much would have made me grit my teeth, bitch and moan and then grudgingly find the $104 for the new box set because I am in love with that box, and would love to own the second soundtrack because I don't want to pay out the ass for it, but also don't want to get saddled with the possibility of a bootleg.

You know what else that would be cool? Creating a director's cut version of Wolf's Rain and adding the alternative ending as a bonus. By the way, I have returned after my long hybernation from the forums.

No, I meant if they had an alternative ending as an extra. I know the seventh dvd have the OAV episodes.

yeah, but I think alternative endings normally work if it was going to end another way originally and they just scrapped the idea and went with another ending. I don't think they'd draw one just for the DVD...would take too much time. And to my knowledge, there wasn't already an alternative ending, though I could be wrong.

I've never bought an anime DVD but since it's for only $100 with all the episodes I might reconsider. though I'm in the process of burning my wolf's rain fansubs onto CDs just now x.x

I've never bought an anime DVD Shame on you. Yeah well, i have all dvds 1-7, and it cost me about 140$, so i sure as hell am not gonna buy the box set, even if there was something new im too poor. All in all i can say most people are disappointed with the lack of any extras on these dvds.

I can't buy stuff online and the few animes that they have in stores where I live charge $30 a volume with only 3-4 episodes. I've seen wolf's rain and other anime DVDs charge only $20 online but still.. anyway going off topic. I might buy this box set since wolf's rain is one of my fav animes and it's only $100 for all 7 DVDs when it would've been about $210 dollars to buy them each seperatly.

I agree completely. I am in love with the box and it's not fair that us loyal fans who paid $140+ to have all the DVDs now get screwed by having them all released in a better box for a price 25% less. What the hell!!
