Okay so I did it. I finished the series. Since I got into the series back in August of last year, the fact I've finally finished it is extremely pitiful. I'm really upset I didn't do it sooner. I also found out... what's the big deal. I thought I would go into like this deep depression and require counseling and all this since I am uttely obsessed with Toboe and it was my favorite anime series and I thought, from what had been spoiled to me, that Bones had ruined it. I was wrong. Unfortunately, due to the spoilers, I expected to be given an emotional rollercoaster. I was suggested these scenes had happened. I never was spoiled the ending, but Toboe's demise:
1. Quent had shot Toboe out of anger and hatred.
2. Toboe dies in Tsume's arms as Tsume has a long and loving talk with Toboe. Not only did I think this would happen but I saw fanarts with this happening. Very tasteful ones.
3. This was just found out recently from the manga and fanarts but... I've seen so many things with Kiba's eye ripped out and yet, that never happened in the series. What the hell?!! Not that I would've liked it to happen, but what was with the big deal about it?
4. Wasn't episode 30 supposed to be a recall episode? It wasn't at all.
I was really upset that Toboe had died before Tsume got to him. I really wanted to see that scene with Toboe in Tsume's arms. Also, Toboe getting shot didn't actually affect me as much as I thought it would. I thought I would be sobbing hysterically.... but only my eyes welled up. I guess that's because I had been preparing myself for it for the last half year.
So the ending. Yeah, it was a good one. Not sad, but good. My hypothesis is that Kiba, Tsume, Toboe, and Hige reincarnated as humans on the new world, which was paradise... although tainted by Darcia. Paradise was not death, but rebirth. The way Kiba looked at them, I think he knew who they were. But despite that, he kept going forward. Did the other 3 have their memory? Unknown. Unfortunately, I wanted more now that I had seen that ending. I wanted them to meet up... at least for Toboe and Tsume to know that they existed again.
Now the anger towards Bones... they could continue it from this point... they really could. I wish they would, but they won't. So it's over... and that's the saddest part.
