;D I dont know I thought it would catch peoples attention. But really from what some of you guys posted you really did think it would go out bads the word right. Anyway that has got still be one of the best ending to an anime ever. NO one got killed *cough* *serano* and best of all didnt it surprise you to actually laugh out loud at- "Oh no motoko, motokooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo." ;D ;D after all that happened this week I needed this.

Okay well, can we use this thread to discuss ep 26: Stand alone complex??
i just saw it, and i loved it. multiple twists and suprises, with my only complaint being that Noi didnt join up with section 9.

yes, for once the end of a season comes without the death of a major character. i could give a rats ass about Serano though. Noi should have taken up the offer, him and the major seemed to hit it off.

( I agree FN, let's put it to use. )
Like Noi said in true Holden Caulfield personality, "I'm just not a team player". He was a lone wolf from the start, and would rather go on alone. His future is uncertain, as he mentioned and we deduced that he had cyber-brain sclerosis, I would suppose he might have some tough time in the future.
I did like the talk about the standalone complex in human society, and Noi's perspective on it. But, I was a little disappointed that when Motoko was walking around the pseudo library, that they ( Adult Swim ) covered up the "F**K YOU" etched on a handrail. It was another symbolic piece to Catcher In The Rye and Noi's personality. And poor Togusa, kept out of the loop the whole time. It was quite funny to see how they played around with him after they caught him before his assassination attempt.
I can't wait for Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex: Second Gig. It's showing in Japan now, and I hope they'll bring it over soon.

Of course, AS edits everything out- ive seen dvds up to volume 5, or episode 20. I wonder though, how did you know that they edited it out? Are there GITS fansubs? I also loved the library scene, it was quite climactic in a non-action way. I loved the whole episode: how everyone was just fine, hwo they made fun of Batou, how the chief had everything under control the whole time. I don't know if i can wait til September for more GITS or FMA.

i thought the major and noi were hitting it off. then he shot the chief down... just alittle surprised... yet I think it's awesome that GITS was able to return this show to the same status as it's first episode, and not kill off one major character.

OF COURSE there is fansubs! Anime always hits the fansubs before it hits the Americas, at least as much as I've seen! They have the fansubs of 2nd gig already out to the latest one broadcast in japan, usually fansub groups get them out within a few days of their showing on television!

Well, from the last episode i found out that the "Laughing Man's" name was Aoi and not Noi. I was surprised to find out that Aoi wasn't the original Laughing Man. Apparently, there wasn't an original Laughing Man. That really drained the coolness of Aoi for me. He only acted as the middle man and that was a bit depressing.
However, i wonder who that guy was at the end. Was he the original Laughing Man? The one that sent that e-mail that Aoi stumbled upon?

I've changed the title of this thread to better fit the discussion.

(And thats why you're so AWESOME! ) yeah I'm a bit left off, I thought at first that I hadn't seen but like 1/4 of the episodes, but it turns out that the first episode was the first one I caught on accident and had been hooked on, so actually I only missed like 3 episodes total. Quite a confusing subject, the laughing man that is, he still had amazing power yet he was not quite the legend they said he was and he was quite... conceited to admitting that, he was laid back and trying not to seem like he had control...

and of course everyone knows the history of the laughing man and his symbol....or at least i hope U all do well, i mean, if they watched the show they did... what a random post. anyway thanks Dark, it was an annoyung thread title. In episode 12, the one where Togusa goes under cover, it said his nome was Aoi or something like that, but i came here and everyone called him Noi... It also annoyed me that he wasnt the original laughing man, but it didnt take down his awesome meter.
