The British have the better military man for man though. They even bring British officers from abroad to train our troops. And we bring soldiers to around the world to help them because some people (not not mind you including myself believe some of the slimy imies [im a little u gut it so sooo soooorry if my spellings a little] are afraid to sign up.) You see the U.S. doesnt hold the rank because we simply have the bulk hell if that were the case we'd all be speaking german or japanese right about now. We've got tachticians we've got technology, air suppuriority only matched in size to China but not in skil. Sorry if I am coming off a bit strong but I'm sick of people think the U.S. is a shit hole when in fact I'm a proud american that would die fighting to protect it.

I am proud of my country as well, infact in three years I plan on joining a military academy and when I am finished I will be an officer.
And about China, yes we would completely annihilate their navy and airforce, even when they are geared toward defense. The problem with an invasion of China would be fighting their landforces.

Also, if anyone was to fight the Chinese, they would prolly end up getting thee rtude end of there Nuclear Missile Supply, and that is likely to be ALOT.
The thing abut ground warfare, in the worlds today it really dosn't exist with the more powerful nations, if you strike, they strike back with missiles *sigh*

I am afraid you are wrong. Saying that the U.S. didn't use a single infantry man in the second Iraq war is ignorance.
And I personally think MAD (Mutually assured destruction) is a good thing. It deters a lot of the world's nations from invading each other.

Exactly. Although so many people are terrified the end of the world will come from nukes, it's that terror that causes inaction of the more powerful nations.

The only thing America did during in WW 2, was drop a couple of A-bombs on Japan...Not exactly something to be proud off. You didn't give a shit about helping until then. Yet as soon as someone attacks America, it's all "Your either with us or against us" mentality and no even ground. You might have the fire power, but you suck at using it. Far to busy shooting your own troops. The U.S is a shit hole, but then so is the rest of the world. Won't be long before we destroy ourselves. ^_^

Excuse me? The US did a whole lot more in WWII than that. The US saved the allies asses, pardon my French.

You haven't heard of Normandy?
Wars tend to be like that. Dividing people equally into two sides is how wars in territories are to be fought. It's been like that through history with every decent commander.
What would your solution to friendly fire be then?
People have been saying that for the last century, I haven't seen it happen yet.

The US's involvement in WWII is rather vast. In 1941 FDR passed the Lend-lease act. It allowed him to sell or lend weapons and materials to countries that the president deemed vital to the defence of the US. In 1941, even before the US declared war, Roosevelt and Churchill met to set goals for defeating Germany. As we all know, the US declared war on Axis powers when attacked by Japan.
The US dispatched troops to Europe and the Pacific to fight. In 1944 the US invaded the Axis captured France. The US also took several islands in Japan, in fact, because the US was in danger of being invaded by Japan, it was the primary force fighting the Japanese.
As for the atomic bomb, it was a tragic and controversial event, but many more lives would have been lost in an all out invasion of the mainland. The atomic bomb ended the Japanese's involvement in WWII that much faster and prevented the deaths of hundreds of thousands.
The US was also involved in the D-day invasion of Normandy. This is one of the key battles of the entire war, and led to Allied victory.
I realize, especially as the board's "flaming liberal" that it seems attractive to dislike the US at this moment in time, however, it's foolish to ignore the US' contributions to the world, without which, we would be under the rule of fascists.

hahahaha, I love winding Americans up...It's so easy. I don't agree with any type of wars. They are pointless and solve nothing. We just like to believe they do...I guess the alternative is too much to handle. Beside...I don't care if German/Japan won WW2. It makes no difference to me. I must reply to one question though... What would your solution to friendly fire be then? Stop shooting your own troops?

I wouldn't make any difference to you because chances are that your grandfather or father would be killed and you never would exist.
Did it ever occur to you that it didn't occur on purpose? That maybe somebody could get shot in poor visibility?

Or poor planning/tactics. There's also the chance that my grandfather/father wouldn't be killed.

Try my former rather than your latter.
And under the long shot that neither of them died, you would be have to shuffle out a miserable existence under a government that can kill you for your race ,or, if the Third Reich broke up, a third dark age.

Had the Axis won WWII, I can garuntee our standard of living would be much lower. If Japan had taken the US, they would have us rounded up and killed, if not made second class citizens in their new expanded empire. It's stupid to say the outcome of WWII does not affect you.
