How does music effect your every day life? Personally rock music is the thing I live on, I can go without food or water or sleep but as long as I have music I can function. Problem is I tend to over do it and burst into song at random times. This has created the school famous quote : "If you dare brake into song right now, I will hit you with my Dad's truck, castrate you, tie your wrists and legs together and throw you in a ditch"

I actually write music. I can also sing very well (I've been in three musicals) and play the guitar a little.

I live my life in my headphones. My life has a soundtrack, and though I don't hyperventilate and die if I forget my MP3 player, I'm certainly bummed.

Spinning as DJ Toboe at my last gig at Eternal Nightclub in Austin, TXOf course, being a DJ, music is my life. It's my part-time job, my source of escape, and a way to express myself. Even though I'm not making music yet, I mix it into sets and I usually find myself doing sets that have a theme, like the lyrics and the way the song is tells a story. Trance music (and other forms of Electronica Dance Music (EDM)) are my favorite types of music available. I can't get into rock music because it's usually too negative and rap music is just... well, bad (I don't care how many girls you had last night and I also don't care about your "bling") And anything else that may play on the radio 100+ times a day I probably won't like it (at least in America, lol). If you ant to see some stuff I've done, check out www.djtoboe.com. I'm about to update it again too

Anyways, I would say that the three biggest musical influencers in my life are The Beatles, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance.

Music is a huge influence. It inspires me and moves me in everything that I do because I live my life to a rhythm. This summer, I went and bought myself a spiffy mp3 player that is the one thing that consistently goes with me everyplace (along with my driver and putter for disc golf). It's much more than that, though. Music is also my learning aide. I have a slight of trouble retaining information, and so music while studying gives me something to relate the information I read with. Eg. Say I'm listening to 'Hounds' while reading Criminology. I read the words to the rhythm of the song in my head. Later on, during the test (I'm surprised they let me wear my headphones during tests), if I listen to that same song, the words come back to me if I already immediately forgot the information. Basically, music helps me keep my day straight. I associate words, actions, times of the day, things I need to do to the song I'm listening to when I first think about it. It's like my Day Planner. And basically, yes...lol. Before you ask, I do wear my headphones all day, basically, from after my shower until the time I put on my pajamas. I only keep one in my ear, though, so I can still hear what's going on around me. Good thing this hhas decent battery life. An 8 pack will last me around three weeks to a month, maybe a little more if I take it off while at home and just listen to WMP on my computer..

That's a weird studying method. And you say it works?
