Correct me if Im wrong, but Quent's very sophisticated when it comes to the book of the moon. And obviously, it's sitting there at his burning house. The wolf in that picture has one blue eye and one gold eye, now here's my point. Quent never ever mentions the Blue and golden eyed wolf until after he awakes from his injury. Well, maybe his mind was warped alittle. He got the idea that the wolf was there from that picture of a blue and golden eyed wolf. Darcia himself says that humans who have become wolf can never ever go back, so I dont think it could have been Darcia in the village. I think it was that picture that messed with Quent's mind. Possibly, but we never find out if Quent even saw that picture. It was just shown to us, we get a zoomed in portion to identify the picture and then it's fire-feeder. And from the beginning of the series Quent was convinced of the wolves' guilt in the destruction of his family. Why?, Because he saw them in the fire, and so did Blue. His conviction had nothing to do with the picture in that book. Question though: Is there more than one book of the moon? it's always referred to as a singular object, but from this scene we're lead to think otherwise...it confuses me. Is it supposed to be some other book of alchemy or mythology? You misunderstand me. I agree, there were wolves there no doubt. Now, we all know that Quent has read the book of the moon. Also, there's more than one copy of it, because Cher had one, Quent had one that burned in the fire, and Jagaura had one. Quent saw that picture before, he's read the book of the moon. My point is that the werewolf in that picture has a gold and blue eye. After being being hit by the car, that picture may have been warped in his mind and he confused the wolf in the picture for a wolf at his home. Also, does anyone not find it fishy that Blue, even though SHE was right there with Quent while her home was burned, she never saw the blue and golden eyed wolf? Even once she sees Darcia in wolf form, she says nothing about seeing him at her village. You would think that she'd remember seeing him there, IF he ever was there. So yes, I think Quent's flashback of a blue and golden eyed wolf was nothing more than a deslusion. It was never there, not the Darcia eyed wolf at least.

You mean illusion right?
And it's possible that Quent got a better look. It's also possible that the wolf was Darcia the second.
But, from what the soldiers said... I think Quent needed something to blame, so he naturally put it on the wolves and his mind created that image from reading the Book of the Moon one too many times, lol

I've discussed this matter with someone else and she believed it was Darcia II. When I mentioned about Blue being next to him and not being able to recall seeing that wolf...she simply said, they could've been looking at different areas...which I highly doubt. I still say being hit by a car had something to do with it... But that drawing of the werewolf creature on one of the pages of the Book of the Moon is quite intriguing. Since the book of the moon is basically Darcia I's research on paradise. Then what did he base this drawing on?

Well, Darcia the first seemed to know what he was talking about, and he must have saw that they'd (the Darcia's) be the dark compared to the white wolf being the light. So he may have represented that in the drawing. It's interesting though, and I wish I could talk to the people and ask them about this.
Maybe it was talking about that a wolf with an eye of a human (a Darcia) would try to open paradise as well... I'm not sure though.
Edited: But like I said though, if Quent was reading that part during the time of the soldier's attack, his mind could conjure (spelling?) up said wolf in the fire, although more believeable (being a wolf instead of being were-wolf like). Because he was convinced that wolves destroyed his town way before he was hit, and just because they showed the flashback of the wolf after he got hit by a car doesn't mean he didn't think it before.

Well, also, there are several drawings that depict paradise in the last pages of the Book of the Moon...what he based those on?....meh...I'm just going to say he had a giant orb that saw into the future, one similar to the helpers.... Your theory is a valid one, yet one cannot say Quent was already obssesed with the book of the moon before his family was killed. And the flashback of the wolf...well, he had several flashbacks before and there was no sign of that Darcia looking wolf until he was hit by a car...

Well before, they only showed the fire and gun shots (think when him and Blue were in that city and he found Blue licking the kid's head, it looked like [from someone who didn't see what happened before] that Blue could have attack him, though we know she didn't)

There is a good flashback there, there are several wolves and it shows the teeth of one of them. And those teeth are pretty similar to Darcia's wolf form teeth.

I noticed that.
My guess would again be possibly Darcia the 2nd, like your female friend suggested

You know during the end when Jagara invited all the other nobles (I think probably lesser nobles) around the world for the big party. Did Darcia kill them or just make them pass out, and later when the building collapsed that they died?

i believe he only made the other nobles pass out, since he's done the same thing to Cher with his eye twice before.

First of all...they may have not all been Nobles. Well, actually, that would be true if the theory that Nobles are aliens was true....Let's call them...aristocrats. Ok, did Darcia kill these aristocrats of simply knocked them out? Well, it is true that Darcia only knocked out Cher with his eye. However, how deadly his eye might be is unknown. At least the ones in the lab(episode 2?) survived. Even if the aristocrats did survive...well...the keep's collapse finished them off.(is not as if the wolves helped any of them scape...bastards....)

They were meant to die anyways. No one was suppose to survive except for Kiba, and in the end he was suppose to die as well... that is how the world works... ^_^
(Off topic, you all should watch Montel Williams every Wednesday)

No one was suppose to survive except for Kiba, and in the end he was suppose to die as well... that is how the world works... ^_^ But can you really say that they died when they were all reborn? Doesn’t death insinuate the time of which something meets its end? But if their souls where reincarnated – doesn’t that mean that they never really meet their end? Thus, meaning that they never really died in the first place? Just a thought.....

Not so for the following people: Hubb, Cher, Quent, Orkham(sp?), Jagara , Darcia ;D, humans Not so for the following halfbreed: Blue... They all met their end...no rebirth... Here is a thought Sean, following your logic, you know you are going to die, so does that mean you have to commit suicide? Trying to cheat death is something very natural, you cannot blame others for trying to live, nor can you justify those who will not aid the ones that want to live.
