I don't think anyone is meant to kill themselves... that's why it's a sin (Unless because of a mental condition you do it, aka not in your right mind)
But in the Wolf's Rain world, none of the humans were meant to live, and all the wolves were suppose to die off except for Kiba (until the world started to be reborn). I'm not saying their exact death was written in stone
But Golden, by death I mean their bodies die, I never mentioned their souls.
And just because we don't see them at the end, doesn't mean they aren't there.

on the suicide topic, i wouldn't say anything is meant to happen, it just does. christians just apply a set of moral standards for themselves, which is why we consider things like suicide a sin.
i also believe that everyone in WR was fated to die before paradise opened, except for Kiba. and i think he might've been "allowed" to survive to see it's opening, only he was too weak at that point.

If you paid any attention to the show...then you know they didn't make it... Hubb Lebowski: So that's what the celebration was for...do you think there's a chance that we could go there too? Cher Degre: No, I doubt it. Hubb Lebowski: Then what the hell are we supposed to do? Cher Degre: The only thing we can do...die out. Hubb Lebowski: Why? Cher Degre: Because the world would become distorted with us in it. And yet in a new world, one that was created by the spirit of the wolves, I'm sure there'd be new humans as well. Hubb Lebowski: So we're all a bunch of pawns to be thrown away, huh? That suits me just fine.

Really? You really ought to listen to Sylvia Brown on Montel Williams then. Past lives yo, bling pop a glock holla.
And about that conversation, I just assumed he meant being thrown away this time, but that they might get a new shot in the next life (just like Kiba, Tsume, Toboe, and Hige did, just to name a few)

Hence, "Paradise is a land where wolves reign supreme."(Darcia's words, not mine) Humans cannot go there. Cher said it quite nicely in the conversation I posted. Nobles can't make it...otherwise why would they even bother trying to open their own paradise? Two questions though...where do the new wolves come from? Since the wolves in the previous world are granted rebirth but only as humans(except Kiba). Does the Great Spirit create more of them?
