I don't want to be killed for saying this but I like Outlaw Star better than either one, possibly better than WR. Nope, no grudges here! Its fine that you like another anime more then WR. But, i have a present for you. Youre a really great friend, could you tell me your address?

Yes, but do understand I said possibly. Ya see, Outlaw Star is old and all, while Wolf's Rain is still fresh and all so yeah. I really don't think anything can compare to Wolf's Rain, yet, cept for maybe Outlaw Star, but even it gets owned. There I said it.

Even though i UTTERLY hate you now, its your choice. JK ur one of the most active ppl here and its evident you are wise and love WR and shit, so yeah theres no need to kill you. ;D

I guess so. But seriously, Outlaw Star isn't as good as Wolf's Rain, but OS is like second so yeah.
Wolf's Rain worse then Full Metal Alchemist? No, I don't think so, but I do think FMA is more popular than Wolf's Rain but if more people only had the chance to see episode 1 to episode 30, (or skip the recaps like as) I think WR would really pick up. Like many people have said, you just can't start watching Wolf's Rain half way through, well you could but you'd be confused as hell, but then again that's the same for Full Metal Alchemist.

Yeah. ive been watching like 5 episodes so far, and im confused as shit. tho i get it now, after all these explanations. but WR u have to explain concepts n crap, in FMA u have to explain what has happened, if u need to catch up.

Well, if you haven't seen the first episodes Im sure you can buy the second dvd easily and the first one should still be out. The first two episodes are a must-see and they only get better and better after that.

This is a tough one! I'd have to give the same argument I usually give about WR vs. most other animes and that's Wolf's rain in terms of an experience is better than any other anime. It doesn't get bogged down, it leaves so much to question and it's engaging as hell. It sticks to it's style and doesn't try to appeal to everyone, nor does it try for cheap gimmicks. It doesn't have to. Fullmetal has several resonances of Wolf's rain. It's inevitable because of the impact Wolf's Rain had on the creators, but I think they tried to integrate elements of Wolf's Rain into FMA and give it elements of a "typical anime" as well. That's why I think FMA is a great show, but it gets caught up in a lot of the norms, which inevitably lead it to get noticed by the casual or disinterested viewer who only gets the cheap thrills out of it. There is a lot to FMA that I think gets overlooked by a lot of its' audience and that's just sad to think about

Full Metal Alchemist in my opinion could be another WR if the humor was tamed down. The humor and childish pranks throughout some episodes set it far apart from WR.

Hmm... while i do agree with you, i dont think it is THAT close to WR. I think WR is alot stronger than FMA, tho i still love FMA, theres something about WR i just cant find in any other anime. FMA is close to WR in brilliance though, only defeatd by GITS.

That's what Im saying. (spoilers) take away Hughes stupid behavior whenever his daughter is brought up, or Roys pervertness when it comes to short skirts, remove some jokes about Ed's size and maybe make him react alittle more mature when he is taunted and you could have something close to the mysticness of WR. But then FMA wouldn't be the same without those good ol' short jokes would it?
