i agree with your opinion on PA. But I dont agree with you bashign of Inuyasha... IMO theres character development, it's just not fed to you as fast as other animes due to it's large episode base. Watch them all and you will see. I do watch Inuyasha on a regular basis, just to let ya know. Not as a rebutle but just as a little fyi. As for Little Slugger... I dont think he attacks people for no reason. I see it as a breaking point, it seems when a person was reaching their max in mental anguish they snap and he's there to put an end to it. I definetly agree with you, but the reason I said that was because I didn't want to speculate what L'il Slugger is or represents because thrillers like this are best enjoyed under your own investigation or interpretation. That, and the possibilty of spoilers. im not saying he's good or anything however, just that his appearance seems to serve a purpose. as for as showing the first four episodes in english and the rest in subtitles... i cannot see any reason for that unless the rest of the episodes are simply not dubbed... and if they do this, i wont watch it. im a huge fan of GITS and I could hardly force myself to finish GITS2:Innocence due to the awful idea of not dubbing it... they already had a great cast to work with... and PA has a great Dub, why would they cease with it? makes no sense. Yeah, I'd rather they have the English dub than have subtitles, because I'm not the fastest reader. I don't want to miss anything because my eyes are glued to the bottom of the screen reading tiny yellow sentences. But about AS, they aired a bump recently regarding the sub/dub issue. They said something to the effect of "due to the whining, PA will have Japanese VA's and English subbing after episode four". I guess a bunch of numbnuts over at the AS boards whined until they got the show changed.

About Inuyasha, kewl, however I still feel theres character developement, although I will admit that after awhile Inuyasha's I dont care attitude gets alittle old.
As for PA, yeah pretty much.
And last but not least, AS. I'd much rather watch the animation than read subtitles. Also, hearing a language im coherent with would be nice, so in the end I dont see why people have to whine.

I think I might like this show more than Samurai Champloo.I mean I'm enjoying SC,but it just seems a bit typical next to this show.PA got my full attention as soon as I saw the opening. I know what you mean, SC is alot like/similar to many of the action show on [Adult Swim] where ar PA in way different and kinda cool cause of it being different....and that opening theme just get stuck in my head and AHHHHHHH!!! can't get it out!... I most certainly like this show more right now.

I agree with nuwaver and menos grande. It's a really unique and awesome anime and the opening really got me into its creepiness as well.

Anyway, from what I heard, AS will be showing the first four episodes in English and the rest in Japanese with English subtitles. You scared me for a second. I just could not believe that AS would do such a thing so i did some research. I went to the boards and this is what i found. --ATTENTION WHINERS --Paranoia Agent Kanji Translation Update --Episodes 1-4 of Paranoia Agent will remain unchanged --Because they have been delivered and we can't do anything about them --However, Episodes 5-13 will be changed to whiner specifications Kanji translation only. Example: img211.echo.cx/my.php?image=anikrazeparanoiaagent015793183.jpgYou see, people were pissed because all they saw was Japanese writing and they did not know the meaning of it. Example: When Ichi found that note in his locker, it was in Japanese, he got pissed off but we did not understand what the note said. So, people do not panic, PA will still be in English.

sweet... that's a reliever, watching anime with subtitles sucks in my opinion becomes you miss the one reason why your watching it, the animation.

I dont know about you, but I watch anime for one main reason, and thats the animation which is just so different. reading subtitles equals missing the key reason for watching. now i dont think i ever said bad dubs are acceptable, but I'd much rather listen to english voices and watch all the eye candy than hear japanese voices and read annoying subtitles. maybe if i could read uber fast it'd be different, but I cant and often times subs are only on the screen for a few seconds.

Yes I agree that many times the sub seems to make more sense (gits1). But even still, I enjoy myself more hearing a dub and watching the animation.

PA- My favorite show on the lineup. It has a wonderful story, blended with many unique and well developed characters all based around the one mysterious main character 'Lil Slugger, who I have personally taken to heart. I have noticed the plot development as well, how Slugger seems to help each person that he attacks, which makes for more depth and an overall better show. There is no action which is usually a con for me, but it is just such and amazing a pretty much insane anime show. Pretty much explains why I like PA. 'Lil Slugger helps everyone that he harms. He's like a therapist, who shows up out of nowhere and whacks you with a bat and solves your problems without charging you a nickel.

I went and bought the rest of the Paranoia Agent series. ( 4 DVD's in all )
Let's just say, it gets really messed up. Some of the episodes can be downright terrifying if you watch them late at night.

*grins evilly* Yay! Another chance to scare myself half to death and thus make me even more paranoid. Anyway, where did you buy them? Online or what? I really like the series so far and I'd love to see how it progresses.
