OK, here is my question. Should the drinking age should be lowered or be eliminated?(US drinking age is set at 21)

Lowered. You can smoke at 18, why not drink, as well?

Lowered to 18. If you can vote while your 18, kill people in the military while your 18, then you should be able to drink when your 18

i think the drinking age at the moment is fine. although if (this ties into the military service thread) military service became mandatory, then it would most likely be lowered. anyway, it's easy enough for underage teens to obtain alchohol, lowering the age limit would only result in more drinking and driving, something many teens love to do, which is in my state the number 1 killer of teens, of course i don't want to sound like a spoiler or anything, drinking is great but the age limit is fine i feel.

Like devinfire said, it'll lead to more accidents, since teens are more reckless.

lowered to 18 maybe but seriously we cannot get rid of it....some country's don't have a drinkin age and it works fine for them....but think what would happen if the us just up and dropped the drinking age
so many kids would drink and drink and drink its to late for the US to kill the drinking age but....
i feel that if your old enough to get married, go to war, vote, be considered an adult, smoke, and a lot of other things you should be able to drink.....

and i applause you for that, it makes streets a safer place, but in reference to where i live, drinking teens is the number one cause of premature death, and I didn't say all teens, most teens which is a general fact, very seldom to i drink to the point of being flat out wasted, but if I do I usually stay the night at the house im at. i've nearly wrecked once, it was enough to make me realize that Im not as invicible as I thought.

i have access to liquor i am allowed to drink and yet i never do; my friend whom has very strick parents goes out pretty much every weekend and get's wasted. I say this only from experience if kids have access to it its not as desirable - a lot of kids do it in an act of teenage angst

keep the mess at 21. Are there not enough drunk 18 year olds out there? And exactly what correllation does fighting for your country have with drinking? None, in my opinion. What's next? "You can drive at 15, why can't you drink?" "You can consent to sex in Michigan at 16. Why can't you drink?"
No....hell...a lot of adults aren't well-equipped to drink. No one will benefit from a lowered drinking age. Let the kiddies keep drinking illegally like they have been doing and don't try to go fixing what's not broke.

No one will benefit from a lowered drinking age. Let the kiddies keep drinking illegally like they have been doing and don't try to go fixing what's not broke. in my opinion, if someone is old enough to be drafted into the military, they are old enough to drink, even though I do think that the drinking age should remain at 21. like you said, and i said earlier it's easy enough for teens to get drunk, lowering the age range will result in nothing but more stupid accidents. i agree with most of what you said, but the way i see it, like I said before, is that if your old enough to be DRAFTED, into the military, then you can drink. it's not exactly fighting for your country that gives you any right to drink, it's the fact that if our country does draft 18 year olds, than they can drink too, just like with voting. it was lowered because of that, and I bet if the draft returned than the drinking age would be lowered, though I wouldn't agree with it. and wtf!? you can't drive at 15, and if you can, where the hell do you live!?
